Elizabeth Webb was born in Brazil and spent her early years steeped in the majestic splendor of the Amazon Rainforest. Her parents seized an opportunity in the 1950s to be part of a pioneering venture that would open the interior of Brazil and become the city of Brazilia. Elizabeth was fortunate to grow up with the indigenous people.
As a young child, Elizabeth's intuition fully opened. It was natural for her to see colors: the auras of animals, plants and people. She could see and feel illness and pain in those around her.

Her family moved to the United States, but the rainforest called to Elizabeth's heart. At the age of 26, she returned to Brazil for the purpose of studying with the Guarani Indians to become a master herbalist.
Chief Apa of the Guarani tribe recognized Elizabeth's gifts and became her mentor and guide. Elizabeth, who spoke the native language, absorbed the indigenous teachings and witnessed miraculous healings from herbs and stones. At this early age, she was aware that the physical, mental and emotional were intricately connected. She was able to intuit not only an illness but its cause. She interacted with the flora and fauna of this mystical land that she loved and became a shaman in her own right.
